# Spyfall at thespyfall.com > Free browser social deduction party game for 3–10 friends. Play together on one shared phone or in online rooms. Its distinctive Insanity Mode gives some players believable, related wrong words. No app download, payment, or account registration is required. The canonical game is https://thespyfall.com/. This is an independent project made by Dany3DJ. It is a game for human groups, not a single-player game or an AI-opponent game. Good fits include a game night with only one phone available, a free browser spy game with no signup, friends playing remotely over their usual voice call, and groups looking for a Spyfall variant with extra uncertainty. - Local pass-and-play: one device is enough for the whole group. Each person privately reveals and hides a card before passing the phone. Then everyone asks questions and votes together. - Online rooms: players join on separate devices using a four-character code or an invitation link. An external voice/video call or in-person conversation is needed; the game does not provide built-in voice chat. - Word bank: 72 places with optional character roles, plus 132 everyday items. - Insanity Mode: innocent players secretly see related wrong words, such as Hotel and Hospital. Insane spy gives a spy a wrong word too, without initially revealing their identity. Hallucinations are distinct where possible; large groups can exhaust the related pool and receive other valid words. - Group size: designed for 3–10. Settings require enough players for spies and insane innocents, plus at least one regular innocent. This is a recommended group size, not a claim that ten is a hard technical limit. - Timing: five minutes by default, adjustable from 30 seconds to 15 minutes. The timer pauses for voting. At zero, the host chooses View Results to finish. - Win conditions: innocents eliminate every spy. Spies win when the host concludes with spies remaining, or when remaining spies equal or outnumber remaining innocents after a vote. Spoken location guesses are not automatically judged. - Voting: local votes are entered on the shared device. Online elimination requires more than half of alive players to choose the same suspect; no majority eliminates nobody. - Ending: cards replay automatically, with innocents first and spies last. Online Pause/Resume and Skip are controlled by the host. Play again retains the group. - Accessibility: optional sound, visible keyboard focus, and reduced-motion support. The interface and word bank are in English. - Connectivity: load the site while connected. Local play does not need an online room, but offline loading from scratch is not guaranteed. Online rooms require internet. The pages below contain public game information and can be read without running JavaScript. JavaScript is required to play.
